Fall Fest at Belmont Park
One of the most exciting attractions here in the city is found over at Belmont Park. This historic amusement park is right on the oceanfront in Mission Beach and has been open since 1925. You can enjoy a variety of rides including roller coasters and much more during your visit. During the fall season, Belmont Park will be putting on their annual Fall Fest. This yearly festival brings some fall festivities to the iconic rides by adding in live music, seasonal craft beer on tap, specialty fall treats, and the popular Mr. Jack O Lantern’s Pumpkin Patch. Both children and adults will have a blast here when they attend Fall Fest at Belmont Park!
Solento Surf Festival
Each year, the Solento Surf Festival takes place right here in San Diego for a vibrant combination of surf, film, art, and music. This weeklong celebration is family friendly and adds in a bit of everything. The event kicks off on September 14th with the Seaside Beach Takeover. This introductory event features surfing contests, live music, delicious food and drinks, and partner activations. Stop by the historic La Paloma Theatre where you can catch the best surfing films and panel discussions from athletes from all over the world. Additional activities will be held for the remainder of the week including a spectacular art show. Don’t miss out on the Solento Surf Festival taking place September 14th through the 21st.
MCAS Miramar Air Show
Come and see America’s Air Show when you attend the MCAS Miramar Air Show taking place once again this fall. This returning event is always a popular one and is looked forward to all year round. The MCAS Miramar Air Show is the largest military air show in the country and provides a truly unique experience. The event features three days of military demonstration teams, aerobatic teams, vintage aircraft, and much more. The demonstrations in the sky will truly leave you mesmerized. This year’s lineup will include the popular Blue Angels and many more. Tickets are now available for purchase for the 2024 MCAS Miramar Air Show taking place September 27th through the 29th.
Autumn Festival at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park
It is no surprise that the San Diego Zoo is one of the top attractions here in the city year after year. What makes the zoo so fun to visit at different times of the year however is the unique events they put on. This includes the Autumn Festival that takes place each weekend during the month of October. Each fall, this event celebrates the season of color with some fun and unique entertainment. The food at the zoo will be updated for some delicious fall treats and the colors of the park will resemble dazzling red, yellow, and orange. Pacific BeachFest
Come hang out at the beach for some fun under the fall sun when you attend this year’s Pacific Beachfest. This festival is held in the heart of Pacific Beach, one of San Diego’s more lively districts. Like many other festivals, the Pacific Beachfest will host a variety of activities throughout the day including live music on several stages. While the music acts have yet to be announced you can look forward to other announced activities. These include a fish taco contest, Shape Up Social, the Kids Action Alley where they can have all kinds of fun, shopping with local vendors, and more. The Beachfest 5K Run is one of San Diego’s most popular 5Ks and draws in quite a few contestants. Or try your hand at the Volo 4Sum Volleyball competition out on the sand. The Pacific Beachfest is sure to bring in quite the crowd so make sure to get your tickets early for this event taking place on October 5th.
