First, a Little Bit About the Park
For over 60 years, SeaWorld San Diego has been introducing the world to the wonders of sea life, offering fantastic shows, fun rides, and animal encounters that visitors have never and will never forget. Our park is the original one, opening its gates for the first time in 1964, while SeaWorld Orlando waited nearly 10 years before opening its own park in 1973. In all those years there have been many changes as they have learned to be more aware of their responsibilities, and if you visited in past years and are expecting to see Shamu and friends performing tricks for the crowds, you will be disappointed. They do, however, provide an orca encounter, educating the world about killer whales, their importance to the ecosystem, and the efforts of the park to protect them. Honestly, as thrilling as the old shows were, they were hazardous to the existence of killer whales, and we love this new version so much more!

Another thing that has changed about SeaWorld is the amazing selection of rides they offer today. There have always been rides at the park, but today there are truly thrilling ones, including roller coasters that will take your breath away, water rides that will soak you and your entire family, and a large number of milder rides that will allow your tiniest littles to have a fun time at SeaWorld without being turned away for not meeting minimum height requirements. Also providing a large number of restaurants and the opportunity to dine with the killer whales, SeaWorld is more exciting than ever, and we are eager for you to discover it all over again!

We offer just about every amenity you can imagine, and yes, that includes private pools in many of our SeaWorld retreats.

Can we really dine with killer whales during our visit to the park?
Because there aren’t many places that offer the opportunity to dine with a killer whale (aside from SeaWorld Orlando), the additional cost will be worth it! This exciting adventure is sure to be your most memorable one, but remember to make reservations early or you might miss out on the meal of your lifetime.

I know it doesn’t get that cold in San Diego, but I love to end my evening with a glass of wine enjoyed by the fire. Are there fireplaces in any of your rentals?
Nights can get chilly near the sea, and as such, many of our retreats will offer fireplaces, gas ones in most cases.

Are there any other animal encounters, besides the killer whale ones, at SeaWorld Orlando?
Guests can meet and greet all variety of animals, including sea lions, jellyfish, dolphins, walruses, even penguins and sea otters, plus a whole lot more!
