There are exterior stairs to entry. There is no direct access from the garage into the home.
The living room fireplace is inoperable.
There is a separate, detached ADU in the back (east) of the property. This is a rental with completely private space.
While you have your own garage keypad and parking, the garage space is shared with the ADU guests. Guests have their own garage keypad as well.
This home is monitored by exterior surveillance cameras and interior noise monitoring devices.
Beach chairs and a beach umbrella are also provided for your use.
Windansea is known for its picturesque ocean views, bluffs, and surf breaks. While surfing is permitted, swimming and beach side enjoyment is solely dependent on tide levels and current. Summer is typically best for low tide beach access directly in front of our home. Beach access involves moderate bluff climbing.
You must be at least 30 years old to rent this home. If all guests are adults, all guests must be over the age of 30, excluding families.

This home is located in Windansea, a prestigious La Jolla neighborhood. Windansea Beach is directly south of La Jolla village in San Diego. Explore the charming village of nearby La Jolla- with a great selection of restaurants, enchanting coves, and a spectacular 1-mile clifftop walk. Windansea is known for its unobstructed ocean views, characterized by gentle bluffs and remarkable surf. Windansea is a short drive to Sea World, and a half hour to The San Diego Zoo, Balboa Park, San Diego International Airport (SAN), and downtown San Diego.
Attention:
This rental is located in a high-density neighborhood with strict house rules and is only suitable for quieter groups. Owners live nearby! No tolerance policy exists for excessive noise, occupancy, parties, smoking, or pets. Failure to abide by these policies may lead to immediate eviction without refund. Please make sure you are comfortable with these policies before renting.

Don’t forget to report any damages, issues, or upgrade suggestions—we truly value your feedback! Check-out is at 10:00 AM, unless a late check-out was pre-approved. We absolutely loved our stay at Neptune! It was the perfect little getaway spot for our family. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves each night was incredible—and for the first time ever, our youngest slept in later than everyone else! That alone made this trip priceless.
The home had everything we needed to feel comfortable. Having a washer and dryer on-site was a huge bonus, especially with the beach right across the street. The beds were super comfortable, and waking up to watching surfers in the morning and again in the evening became a relaxing routine we'll never forget.
We also discovered some local gems during our stay. Il Giardino di Lilli quickly became our favorite coffee shop with amazing treats and coffee. The Ashen Salon up the road was so convenient for a wedding we attended, and Karen, the stylist, was absolutely fantastic.
What made this place even more special were the little community touches—we started to feel like locals, chatting with neighbors and always looking out for Leila, the sweet black lab on her evening walks.
Neptune set the bar very high for our future vacations. This trip wasn't just a getaway—it's become a core memory for our family. We can't wait to come back!

I rented this wonderful house for a full month. It was in great condition, clean, and everything worked. Drift was very organized and made everything easy for me. Jordé in particular was very helpful and made it easy for me to book this same house for next year. Looking forward to it!

Perfect long weekend at the beach! Escaping the snow and seeing palm trees, blue skies, and gorgeous sunsets is good for the soul. This beach house had the most unbelievable views and was in a perfect location. My son and I chilled and watched the surf, while my wife and daughter enjoyed the contemporary art museum and shopping in La Jolla. This beach house has amazing outdoor spaces--the last thing we wanted was to be cooped up in a glass/concrete box, so this house was perfect. Even when we were inside we could open up the dutch door, windows, and french doors to the deck--hear the ocean, take in the salt air. I think there is as much outdoor living square footage as there is interior living space. And the outdoor spaces were completely private, so we could let the dog run around without any worries. Garage parking, great local restaurants in walking distance, only twenty minutes from all the San Diego attractions (we had a fun afternoon at the Midway), I'm pretty sure this place is paradise.

On our return visit to Neptune Escape, we were just as enchanted with the property—if not more so. This time of year, the moonlight on the water is so beautiful, and there is plenty of time to admire the view from the large windows with unobstructed sea views. My daughters had fun playing in the surprisingly large, walled-in front yard (very safe), and of course we all love the large front deck. Even our doggo spent hours perched there, happy as could be. It was a restorative and peaceful weekend. The property is truly magic!
Restful, Charming, and So Much Fun

Came here to say that we could not be happier with our stay at this charming beach house. It was spacious, had amazing out door spaces, and was so thoughtfully appointed that we never wanted to leave. The views from this house are incredible. So is falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. I think my son took the longest nap of his life while we were there. We took advantage of the gorgeous beach out front most days of our trip--made sand castles, dug for sand crabs, explored tide pools, and splashed in the surf. The fact that there is dedicated parking (in the cutest garage I have ever seen) made exploring the town of La Jolla and the rest of San Diego so easy. We couldn't believe how close we were to so many fun things and we never worried about finding parking upon our return--important when tired kids are part of the equation.
The house had everything we needed. We discovered lots of restaurants, shops, and a market that has the most amazing dip in the universe--all within walking distance. La Jolla is a beautiful, eclectic town and exploring it is so much fun.
This beach house is truly a gem. It exceeded all our expectations and we hope to come back very soon. Highly, highly recommend.
A Breathtaking Escape!

This property is a treasure, mindfully designed, with unobstructed views of the sea. At every turn, guests enjoy unmatched vistas and thoughtful details, from the large, modern kitchen which opens onto a charming outdoor dining space, to the preserved period details, the house and surprisingly large surrounding property was a space we didn't want to leave.
We watched dolphins and seals amble by from the large front windows and took daily walks on Windansea Beach, which is literally steps away. Excellent shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance or a short drive to the village of La Jolla. We stayed with our young family, and the property was well set-up to accommodate our group.
Throughout the house, the original art work of local award-winning artists James M Fisher is showcased; this is, as I understand it, the home where he grew up as a child, and he understands the light and textures of the sea there like no one else. I own several Fishers, and his seascapes in particular are unmatched. I inquired if any of the art in the house is available--it is, and at surprisingly reasonable rates. We will be coming back!
For a magical escape that nourishes and restores both body and soul, surrounded by the beauty of nature, inspiring art, and charming architecture, I can't recommend Neptune enough.

We had a very wonderful experience in this comfortable and cozy beachfront home. From the home, the view of the world-famous Windansea Beach is spectacular, and the sunsets are absolutely gorgeous. A large deck attached to the residence overlooks the beautiful beach, and the quaint landscaped yard made our stay a paradise. The host is excellent to work with. Highly recommend this five-star property to anyone.
